Recreation

Recreation is a brand of redesigned furniture by Petra Šištíková and Katarína Zalanová. The idea of Recreation is to let the old, undesirable, and forgotten pieces enjoy their recreation time, and then bring them back to life revitalized. Recreation includes a complex care for the outfit, creating an original style, but at the same time it cares for the spiritual side of these once popular furniture stars. Furniture wants to be admired, and just like a lady leaving a beauty salon, it is looking for a potential suitor. On Bratislava Design Week, the brand presents a project called Old School, which tells some nostalgic stories about past school times: about early creations behind shabby school benches, ink stains in exercise books, or busy bees as rewards in kindergarten.
