The project intends to remind the current Slovak of the excellence of Slovak traditional craft, namely the ornaments of folk embroidery, and point out their timelessness in conjunction with current trends in graphic design. Embroidery doesn’t belong only in the ethnographic museum, but it is a phenomenon that can be adapted to any time and can cooperate with contemporary art.

The project will start with publishing of the book AHA (the book launch will take place during Bratislava Design Week), which shows the embroidery of eight Slovak regions. The book as a diploma thesis has already received several design awards and has been exhibited home and abroad. After nearly three years since its completion, it will finally come out for the public.
