Benjamin Hubert
Benjamin Hubert is a star of the british design scene for several years now. At the age of 30 he became an established author with many lucrative clients in his portfolio and with many prestigious awards. His journey up was pretty straightforward. He persuaded his audience with an extraordinary sensitivity for soft smooth emotional forms, very consistent mastery of his work from sketches to the final product, intensive research and experimentation with diverse materials. Be it concrete, glass, wood, textiles, wire, felt or ceramics, heis not afraid to come up with bold or different poetic forms, always to high user convenience and use of the latest technology. Among his most famous projects is one of the lightest wooden dining table in the world. Ripple, which weighs 9 kilograms and still retains its high durability and sturdiness. It was included on the short list of the London Design Museum as a product of the year 2014. Hubert works for Moroso, Cappelini, Bitosii Ceramiche, Classicon, Ligne Roset, Decode, Poltrona Frau, De La Espada, etc.. He describes his work as intuitive design that highly respects the natural human behavior. He will be one of the most important guests on Bratislava Design Week, and will present a lecture on the conference in the Midl Design Forum, which is a professional platform for the festival.
