MEJD / Localhost

Mejd is coming with a new collection of products created during the last year of a project called Localhost. The main topic are local traditions and handcraft techniques in design and the final products react on two lines. The first follows traditional crafts such as pottery or metal work, while the second one is based on the later „mechanical crafts“, typical of early-industrial production, like rotary-spinning combined with silver soldering, complementing each other. Thus, two formal series of related products have been crated, and they try to move traditional crafts closer to contemporary visual language.
