The Wire Program, 2023

The temporary spatial installation is made up of wire presentation furniture from the warehouses of the (former) Prior department store. The wire baskets appeal to me for their aesthetics as much as their utility - they are light but strong, they form a mass but are almost translucent, they can be folded into a flat object or re-folded into a spatial version in seconds. Originally, they were full of goods in daily contact with buyers rummaging through them (including me). Today they are emptied, lying around, stored outside the sales area, along with other pieces of display racks. Let's look at them from a slightly different angle.

The Wire Programme

The temporary spatial installation is made up of wire presentation furniture from the storage of the former Prior department store. The wire baskets captivate with both their aesthetics and utility - they are lightweight yet sturdy, forming a mass yet almost transparent, capable of being folded into a flat object or, within a few seconds, unfolded into a spatial version. Originally were filled with merchandise, in everyday contact with consumers who rummaged through them (including myself). Today, they are emptied, lying, stored outside the sales area, along with other pieces of presentation stands. Let's take a look at them from a slightly different angle.
