Kristína Šipulová/ On the Loom

The collection refers to the importance of return to origins and renewal of manual weaving with a shift towards contemporary design. The collection includes clothes created from the yarn up, which brings innovative features of clothing such as crease resistance and high endurance. The clothes are visually distinguished by neutral colours, minimalism with an emphasis on the fabric character and details that deliberately show manual weaving, knitting and an ancient macramé technique. The collection symbolises the return to origins – not only in the area of manufacture; the artist views it as the return to everything she has been surrounded by since her childhood and everything she respects.
