PORTRAIT OF A LADY / PETER MACHATA

The "Portrait of a Lady" brooch collection was created by 3D scanning women's hands. By subsequent digital processing and milling the relief into different colours of plexiglass, the author created a distinctive photographic-spatial illusion. The unique brooching process, based on stacking layers of plexiglass on top of the brooch construction, allowed for a multitude of juxtapositions to be created while making the jewelry anytime.
