Soundweaving - V4 edition, or what embroidery sounds like.

The main concept of the Soundweaving project is transformation. Textile weaver Zsanett Szirmay has created an original installation that is a fusion of cross-stitch motifs from Hungary, Bohemia, Poland and Slovakia. They are cut out of paper by laser and at the same time subtly differentiated in colour. The motifs are then adapted into a musical plane. HThe musician and composer Dániel Vikukel then helped to create a comfortable transcription. Transformation brings a musical and visual experiment that reflects the otherness of our shared region in a specific way. The project was created on the occasion of the Hungarian presidency of the V4 countries and will be seen in Hungarian Institute at Štefánikova 1
