Winners of the BADW Awards 2017

This year we have selected the best designers from among the exhibiting designers in the Open Call Area. Designers had the opportunity to win in the categories Discovery, Product, Collection Main Winner.

By visiting BADW 2017 has become Terézia Feňovčíková with the H A N B O K collection. The collection is based on experimental shaping with spatial forming of garments and was inspired by the Korean Hanbok costume and calligraphy, juxtaposed with the dynamising surface of textiles.

By of this year's BADW is Tin Tin by designer Lea Čellára from the brand Javorina.

The third winner was a designer Simona Janišová, which won in two categories. She won the award for the Anachronik collection and has also become the main winner of the whole festival. With her collection, which is a series of stoneware and porcelain objects, Simona responds to archetypal morphology and traditional decoration techniques used in the creation of ceramics, especially in the local context.
