ZUZANA TONČÍKOVÁ: footstools DIPO

The presentation forms a part of a complete series of 10 footstools as tangible output of the artistic research project "ECO-DESIGN CONCEPT MANUAL" aimed at the implementation of eco-design into the designers creation process. They were designed on a single idea - a tripod base with a triangular seat. In some cases the design was supplemented by another feature - swaying, with the intention to make it more dynamic. The concepts in this product line were created as an experiment and serve primarily as visual examples of the ECM - eco-design tools, and how to use them. Footstools series tries to integrate into the context of current artistic trends with a focus on promoting the idea of sustainable development in the spirit of objectively sustainable design.
